How we fund our services
Here is how we fund our Charity League Services
All proceeds from events are directed solely to benefit Charlotte-area children. As a 501 3-c nonprofit, powered only by volunteers without any paid staff, our fundraising goes directly to serving those most at-risk.
Annual Fashion Show & Silent Auction
This longstanding Charlotte springtime tradition is always full of beautiful styles provided by local companies, an array of unique donated silent auction items, a celebrity emcee and a delicious luncheon! This is certainly an iconic event filled with fashions and fellowship to raise awareness and funds for Charity League’s local projects.
Charity League’s Annual Spring Fashion Show and Silent Auction is always the talk of the town. The event features a parade of designer fashions and locally donated Silent Auction items. This spectacular fashion event and luncheon, with table centerpieces created by Charity League members sells out every year!
Showcase of Artisans
Ushering in the Holiday Season by providing handcrafted jewelry, original paintings, pottery, woodworking and handmade holiday decorations by true artisans is a one of kind opportunity to find unique decorative items and gifts. This event has been enjoyed and available to Charlotteans for over 70 years.
Currently, our fall event combines the best of yesterday’s traditions with contemporary trends under the name – Charity League Showcase of Artisans – at, St. Gabriel Catholic School.
In addition to traditional fine holiday designs by our own Charity League volunteers, the event showcases jewelry, pottery, fine woodworking, fused glass, and fashion accessories, created and sold by outside vendor artisans who handcraft all items. Our Charity League members also bake for our “Sweets and Things” table, an old fashioned bake sale offering delicious home baked bread, cookies, cakes, and pies. As has been our tradition for more seven decades, all proceeds from the event benefit Charlotte-area children in need.
